Back Pain Relief That Makes More Sense

When it comes to back pain, knowledge is power. The more you know, the more you can be in control of your own treatment, and Muscle Balance Therapy™ is one of the most powerful tools you can use to help you take control of your situation. A basic fact about back pain is that most treatments fail because they begin at the end—that is, they merely focus on the pain, which is just a symptom of a larger problem.

Muscle Balance Therapy is an innovative approach to eliminating back pain once and for all, starting with a careful yet simple assessment of all the muscles that affect the stability of your hips, pelvis, and spine—from both a strength and a flexibility perspective. In a sense, what Muscle Balance Therapy™ is asking you to do is a very "unbalanced workout" to get your body back into proper balance. Once your muscles are more balanced and you're feeling better, you will be able to return to your workplace or to your favorite activity with the confidence and security that you need to live a full and productive life.

A word of caution: If you feel even minor back pain, you should take it very seriously—your body is telling you that something is not right. Failing to address this situation now will likely result in a higher level of pain and having to work much harder and much longer to get yourself back to a pain-free state.

Vitamins for Arthritis

Arthritis is a complex disorder that comprises more than 100 distinct conditions and can affect people at any stage of life. Two of the most common forms are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. These two forms have very different causes, risk factors, and effects on the body. The most common symptom in both is persistent joint pain. The joint pain of arthritis can appear as hip pain, knee pain, hand pain, or wrist pain, as well as joint pain in other areas of the body.

For most people arthritis pain and inflammation cannot be avoided as the body ages. Joints naturally degenerate over time. Fortunately, arthritis can be managed through a combination of vitamins, medication, exercise, rest, weight-management, nutrition, and, in some cases, surgery. Arthritis is a chronic disease that will be with you for a long time and possibly for the rest of your life.

Decrease Your Chances Of Arthritis Pain!

Arthritis is one of the most common causes of chronic pain. But, arthritis pain relief is not as common. There are over one hundred diseases associated with arthritis, affecting areas in and around joints. Just below heart disease, arthritis is the second leading cause of disability and the inability to work.

You don't have to end up dealing with arthritis in life. there are ways that it can be prevented or treated effectively, and relief always depends on you and how you treat your body. Think of what you can do now before you can still prevent arthritis than waiting for it to take over your health in later life. For great helpful prevention tips, try there simple ways:

  • Maintain a healthy weight. Excess weight causes early wear and tear of the weight-bearing joints, which include the feet, ankles, hips, knees, and spine.
  • Maintain a regular exercise routine. The old saying, "If you don't use it, you lose it", holds true. By not exercising regularly, muscles weaken and place more strain on the joints. By exercising regularly, the muscles are allowed to do their job and work with the joints, rather than the joints working for the muscles.
  • Don't over exercise. While a regular exercise regimen is essential for your overall health, overusing your joints will have a detrimental effect on your body. The key is to exercise regularly  - rather than trying to perform a week’s worth of exercise once a week. Exercise daily or maintain a consistent schedule.
  • Avoid repetitive movements as often as possible. Repetitive movements of the wrists or knees can cause problems later in life. Try to switch activities frequently enough to avoid repetitive strain on the joints.
  • Eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water. A healthy diet and keeping your body properly hydrated are important factors in avoiding the early onslaught of arthritis.
  • There are many ways in which a person can prevent, decrease, or treat the effects of arthritis. The most important thing in determining the best course of action for arthritis pain relief is to learn as much as possible so that you can make an informed decision - one that is right for you.

Oh! The Age And Pain!

Let's face it, pain is an important part of our life. It helps us discover that something is not right in our body, and protects us from potential, even more harmful and painful dangers, and makes us more aware of what we do to our body. These are just some of the good point of having experienced pain, but it can be really hard to deal once pain strikes. And with the passing of time, the wear and tear of the joint and muscles eventually leads to further aches. Knowing what to do before the actual thing hits can really help in avoiding unnecessary and sometimes misdiagnosed aches that people experience when they age. Pain during aging is just natural, but there are some things that can be done. For some tips, try these:

1) It's time to speak up about your pain. - Studies report that senior citizens complain less about symptoms.

2) You deserve a diagnosis. - A thorough evaluation can help determine the cause.

3) There always are options. - Acupuncture, medications, physical therapy, chiropractic care, epidural injections — these are some of what we have in our toolkit to help build a pain-free life.

4) Know how to explain your pain. - Pain is considered the fifth vital sign. It is as important to your doctor as your temperature, pulse, respiratory rate and blood pressure. We rate pain on a scale of 1 to 10, with 5 being moderate pain that interferes with daily activities and 10 being excruciating.

5) There is nothing to gain from being in pain. - Know when to take your medicine properly, and don't wait for it to worsen!

6) Just because you use them doesn't mean you'll abuse them. - Many seniors are afraid they will get "hooked" on pain medicines. The truth is that 95 percent of chronic pain patients do not abuse their medication.

7) Watch that acetaminophen. - Acetaminophen (APAP) is in Tylenol, some "non-aspirin" pain relievers and many prescription pain medications. The maximum recommended dose is 4,000 mg per day. People who take prescription and over-the-counter pain medications must watch that they don't exceed that maximum dose.

8) It doesn't have to be a "pain pill" to treat pain. - Certain anti-depressants and anti-seizure medication are being used to treat pain, especially headaches and nerve pain (neuralgia).

9) If you're not getting relief, you need more information. - If pain isn't controlled, then more testing or specialist evaluation may be needed.

10) Don't give up. - You deserve attention, compassion, and a multi-disciplinary approach to your pain. Ask your doctor for help in finding the right treatment.

Understanding Your Pain

Dealing with pain can be the hardest part of having arthritis or a related condition, but you can learn to manage it and its impact on your life. The first step is knowing which type of arthritis or condition you have, because that will help determine your treatment. Before learning different management techniques, however, it's important to understand some concepts about pain.

Not All Pain is Alike

Just as there are different types of arthritis, there are also different types of pain. Even your own pain may vary from day to day.

Each person needs a…
